Photos of the stand, and a few of the staff who attended the Show are below
Earlier this year, staff from the School of Policing Studies attended the Sydney Royal Easter Show, alongside our partners and colleagues from NSW Police Force. Staff attended the show each day from 22 March 2024 to 2 April 2024. This is the fifth year in a row Charles Sturt university has contributed to and worked at the exhibit alongside NSW Police Force.
Whilst the focus of the exhibit is primarily for police recruitment, it is a fantastic opportunity to speak to members of the public not only about the Associate Degree in Policing Practice (ADPP) and the University Certificate in Workforce Essentials (UCWE), but also provides the opportunity to speak with a significantly large cohort of people about all of the courses on offer at Charles Sturt University.
Charles Sturt merchandise is provided to members of the public, with full branding.
A record number of people completed a contact card this year, with just over 250 people requesting a member of the NSW Police Recruitment Branch contact them to discuss their recruitment process and training. SOPS staff then make contact to provide information about the application process, course details and to answer the many queries our potential students have. This is a great way to engage potential future students.
This is a significant event each year, and has proven to be a worthwhile activity to showcase our University, with our brand being displayed more than ever this year! The branding in orange really popped out against the blue.
