We are pleased to announce the 2024 Vice-Chancellor’s Research Excellence Awards, designed to encourage and recognise outstanding researchers who have made significant contributions to advancing knowledge, research outcomes, and social impact.
These awards celebrate excellence across seven categories:
- Excellence as an Early Career Researcher
- First Nations Researcher of the Year
- Researcher/Research Team of the Year
- Higher Degree by Research Supervisor of the Year
- Higher Degree by Research Thesis/Creative Work of the Year
- Research Excellence through Partnership
- Teaching Scholar of the Year
We would like to encourage eligible researchers to apply (or consider nominating colleagues) in order to highlight the remarkable work being done within our research community. This is an opportunity to showcase the transformative impact our researchers and Institutes deliver both within and beyond academia.

Awards are now open and nominations close: 29th September 2024
Winners will be announced at the Research Awards dinner on 27 November 2024 at the ACCC Chapel, Canberra.
