Congratulations to Dr Douglas Allan for accepting an invitation to serve as an industry SME advisor for Public Skills Australia. The advisory body is appointed to support the Public Safety and Government industry-sectors. Dr Allan will provide advice on current workforce challenges aligned to Fire and Emergency Services, Police, Defence, Correctional Services and Federal, State and Territory, and Local Government. The advisory body has been set up by the federal government to advise on approaches aimed at overcoming Australian skills shortages in the broader Australian public safety setting. Dr Alllan will serve for a 12 month period.
