I would like to welcome you back and extend my best wishes for the New Year. It gives me great pleasure to start 2026 by sharing some good news regarding academic promotions, celebrating the depth of talent and achievement across our Faculty.

I am delighted to share the wonderful news that several of our academic colleagues have been successful in the most recent promotion rounds. These outcomes reflect both individual excellence and the depth of scholarly commitment that defines our Faculty and our University.

Academic promotion recognises sustained excellence across academic life—teaching, research, and service. It acknowledges leadership, intellectual contribution, and the impact our scholars have on students, disciplines, professions, and communities, in Australia and beyond.

While these promotions rightly celebrate individual achievement, they also speak to the strength of the scholarly community we have built together. Our Faculty is a place where scholarship matters, where excellence is valued, and where people are supported to grow and succeed. And, we are a community who take genuine pride in recognising and celebrating each other’s achievements.

As we move into 2025, I am confident we will continue to build on this momentum, strengthening our culture of excellence, collegiality, and impact across our University.

Thank you for the commitment, generosity, and professionalism you bring to your work every day.
