Ending Sex Trafficking in Australia: Can We Stop It?

Professor Cara Wrigley from the University of Queensland and our Associate Professor in clinical and forensic victimology Amber McKinley have embarked on a vital research project to disrupt the economic foundations of trafficking through a design thinking approach. The project description states, “By addressing the socio-economic and geopolitical factors that sustain trafficking, strategies can be developed to reduce its prevalence. The research focuses on understanding these dynamics to inform policy recommendations and provide a holistic approach to combatting sex trafficking.”

The project blends human design concepts and victimology to innovate new ideas to help investigate and bring to light specifics about sexual exploitation via human trafficking. The project is raising funds to bring 18 specialists into one room for one day and the funds are being used for flights, everything on the day is gratis. The project has raised $4000 so far and needs to raise as much as possible to fly our SMEs into Canberra. The project is seeking backing and donations can be made by visiting Ending Sex Trafficking in Australia: Can We Stop It? | Experiment
