We have reached the end of another year, and I think we will all be glad about that. I know that it is still a very busy time for all of us, and even though the Christmas break is just at the end of this week, it still seems so far away. However, I sincerely hope that when you do get to the break, whenever that starts for you, that you can put work behind you and focus on having down time for yourself, and spend time with the people you care about, and who care about you. Thank you for everything that you have done for our students and staff this year, and I look forward to working with you again next year. Whatever special things you celebrate at the end of each year, I think we can also celebrate the staff of FoBJBS. As Tracey often said, it is the people in our Faculty that makes our Faculty great. Thank you. And thank you to Tracey, who led us to be that.
Australian Information Security Association (AISA) Cyber Security Researcher of the Year
Congratulations to Professor Zahid Islam, Associate Professor Rafiqul Islam and Dr Ba Dung Le! All three academics from Charles Sturt are part of a project team, led by Prof Chang-Tsun Li from Deakin University, which has won the Australian Information Security Association (AISA) Cyber Security Researcher of the Year award!
This Cyber Security CRC (CSCRC) project aims at promoting the use of the Common Criteria (CC) among stakeholders in IT security products to give them confidence in the cyber security technologies that they are investing in or operating. The collaborative project brings together researchers from Deakin and #CharlesSturtUni along with industry and government partners QuintessenceLabs and Australian Cyber Security Centre.
Well done to all involved.
