Thank you to all staff and our Subjects Team who have worked hard to make the 202060 timetable workable for our internal students and aligning our online cohort this session. It demonstrates that we are a resilient bunch that can turn things around within a short time frame. We’ve also demonstrated in a short time that we can adapt to the COVID-19 challenges it has thrown us this year!
Our first-year Engineering students returned to on-campus activities at the start of Session on 13 July 2020. The next challenge will be what CIMT (Critical Incident Management Team) are calling “Wave 4” after the intensive teaching period and mid-session break from 7 September 2020. The original plan was to return postgraduate students at the Port Macquarie Campus and some first-year students to campuses. In one School, maintaining lectures online and returning first years on-campus for tutorials. Our Faculty will have a mixed bag that’s for sure! As you know with COVID-19, things change on a daily basis! This may change moving forwards and you know what, we will adjust our plans as needed!
“As you would be aware, the Timetable team have been all been working under pressure, and navigating a constantly changing environment, to get to this point. The commitment and patience shown by everyone has made this possible and I would like to say, and I think I speak on behalf of all the Timetable team, it has been an absolute pleasure to work with you all. We look forward to 2021 being slightly less erratic.” Rachael Lamb, Assistant Manager Timetabling. I’m just wanting to recognise and say thank you to our colleagues in the Division of Student Administration!
