3MT® Finalists

Well done on chalkboard

The Charles Sturt University 3 Minute Thesis (3MT®) heats were held recently. A number of PhD candidates battled it out, describing their research in just 3 minutes! The 3MT competition is an international competition established by the University of Queensland.

Phd Candidate’s Debra Metcalf and Jennifer Schwarz both from the School of Psychology have made it to the finals.
Debra’s presentation was titled:
Defining our foods for future
Jennifer’s presentation was titled:
Understanding and supporting adults who ask ‘Am I Autistic’

Details about the Charles Sturt University final will be held on Wednesday 1 July from 4-6pm ONLINE. More details will be sent around to all soon! Make sure you come to support Debra and Jennifer!

August census date – 9 August, 2020

Examination

A reminder that the August census date is now approaching. In order to avoid delays in the examination process please ensure examiners are finalised as soon as possible.

The Principal Supervisor is to contact potential examiners and complete the Notification of Readiness to Submit Thesis & Appointment of Examiners and forward to the Sub Dean Graduate Studies, Ramudu Bhanugopan for review.

Leave

If you are planning on taking leave for session 2, 2020 please make sure your Application of Leave Form is completed as soon as possible. It is important that this is submitted at least 2 weeks prior to census date (26 July 2020).
