Engfest 2019 attracted over 400 people to the Engineering school, with 19 different sessions hosted during the 3-day convention in June.
A highlight of this year’s event was the public Thesis presentations from our Cadet Engineers. They demonstrated the level of work our cadets are contributing in their workplace.
The student Engineers filled our gallery space over the three days exhibiting their major projects. First year Student Engineers exhibiting their ‘Engineers Without Borders’ projects, demonstrating solutions they have developed to solve humanitarian problems in Timor-L’Este. Second year Student Engineers showcased engineering designs they have developed for a real client.
The Engfest photography competition ‘An Engineered View’ was a successful community engagement initiative with 50 photographs entered and 24 finalists included in the exhibit. The opening, which included the announcement of winners, attracted around 50 people.
80 friends and family of our Cadet Engineers attended the Thursday Engfest Celebration Dinner to be part of the cadet’s presentation to their industry host.
Well done to the CSU Engineering for yet again organising such a successful event. EngFest 2020 is scheduled to be held from Tuesday 9 June to Thursday 11 June 2020.
